Long weekend is short holiday. Sailing to Venice by boat is a special experience and challenge too. Some finds it in crossing Adriatic Sea (twice), others in visit itself. There is probably no person on earth that would not have Venice in his travelogue list. But only a few have privilege to tie the boat in the center of town.
For the modest ones sailing to Rovinj and back is reasonable alternative.

Weekend option
We gather in Portorož, slovenian coast, on friday afternoon and board the sailing boat. Welcome drink and brief meeting about plan. Given the time and mood we make a short sailing training and some swimming or just enjoy sun set. On Saturday morning we leave the home port as soon as possible , because we have all day distance sailing to Venice (Rovinj). In the afternoon arrival to destination, where we settle in one of the local marinas where we freshen up and go for a walk around the city. It is possible to cook on board or eat in some restaurants in the city. On Sunday morning we direct the bow back toward home port and hopefully enjoy another beautiful sailing day.
Extended weekend option
In this case we have extra day and meet already on Thursday. Suitable for those who would like to take more time for Venice and learn more about their wider surroundings. Chioggia is also called small Venice and is interesting too and worth visit. According to the weather forecast we arrange for the sailing route. On Friday morning we departure to destination of the first day (Venice or Chioggia). On Saturday we have a relatively short sailing, approx. 15 Nm, to destination of the day. On Sunday we sail back home.
